I'm currently building a new company. I previously was Director of the Frontier Markets Institute and worked at Sturgeon Capital, investing in Central Asia and South Asia.

Things I'm involved with and areas of interest:

  • Frontier markets. I hosted a podcast where I spoke to founders building in the toughest markets. Always looking to do something new in this space.
  • Company building. The art and craft of everything from managing founder psychology to building teams to scaling operations. I'm constantly pushing my knowledge and practice here.
  • AI-native companies. Practical ways to build hyper-growth companies with AI, from AI-based rollups in traditional industries to using agents for efficiency to fully automated firms.
  • Capital. Financial instruments, capital structure, and capital allocation. I consider myself a student of capital in a similar sense to Patrick O'Shaughnessy or Capital Allocators.
  • Niche industrial firms. I love analyzing these industries and understanding how they work. Conglomerates fascinate me.
  • History and world religions. Religious and psychological concepts with practical grounding. History because so much has happened in the past that's relevant today.
  • Sports. I try to play different sports each week as recreation and flow activity. Always down to play if you're in town.
  • Dinners. I love breaking bread with interesting people. My aim is dinner with interesting groups 3-4 times per week.
  • Reading groups. I participate as frequently as possible. I love learning socially.
